Senior Finance Manager – ESG
Are you motivated by integrating ESG into financial processes? Would you like to join a purpose and value driven company where quality, integrity and people are key?
As a family-owned holding and investment company with a clear purpose of working towards making a positive difference for future generations, sustainability is at the very core of KIRKBI. A key ambition in KIRKBI’s long-term vision is addressing the global climate challenges stemming from carbon emission and plastic waste, whereby sustainability is a foundational layer for all our business activities.
As Senior Finance Manager – ESG in KIRKBI Finance, you will have an important role in reaching KIRKBI’s sustainability ambitions and integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into our financial planning, reporting, and decision-making processes.
You will become part of an organisation with a wide-ranging business portfolio, a strong legacy and a well-established set of values. Anchored in the KIRKBI Finance department with a total of around 40 colleagues supporting a range of different customers, you will collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in e.g. KIRKBI’s strategi and sustainability team and the LEGO Group.
Develop compliant ESG processes and reporting
With reference to the Head of Finance, you will be building a robust and scalable backbone for the ESG finance domain in close collaboration with our Strategy & Sustainability team, with a clear focus on establishing standards and procedures as well as documenting processes. You will monitor closely the maturing of this important ESG agenda and ensure that KIRKBI follows legislation as it develops.
Moreover, your responsibilities include:
- Assess reporting requirements, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and EU Taxonomy, and translate them into concrete actions, including implementing new processes and system changes.
- Support and continuously improve the KIRKBI Group's ESG consolidation system.
- Consolidate and monitor the KIRKBI Group's data with internal reporting to top management as well as external reporting in annual reports.
- Collaborate with external auditors on the annual audit statement and implement improvements based on their recommendations.
Experienced and committed finance manager with a forward thinking mindset
You possess a keen interest in sustainability and a commitment to drive positive environmental and social impact through finance. The position requires you to proactively own the ESG reporting agenda, while you balance having the full overview with immersing yourself in detail. You have the capability to create positive change and deliver results in a complex organisation.
As you will be engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, a high level of communication and interpersonal skills are key to succeeding in this position.
In addition, we expect you to:
- Have proven experience in the above fields with a focus on ESG integration – for instance from a listed company or from an audit business
- Have an understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and disclosure requirements
- Have strong structural and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform quantitative analysis
- Communicate well – and effortlessly in both Danish and English
- Balance working individually and in a team.
