Student Assistant, Investment Analyst - Energy Transition

We are looking to welcome an Investment Analyst in our Energy Transition Investment Team (ET Team). This position is a great opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills-set while getting real “on-the-job” training and exposure to key investment disciplines – in an organisation that promotes continuous learning and development for all colleagues.
You will become an integral and valued member of the ET Team and work with many different aspects of energy transition investments, in collaboration with other members of the team. Through the ET Team, KIRKBI invests in the green energy transition to contribute to the increase of global renewable energy production. KIRKBI’s Energy Transition strategy targets investments in the established solar and wind industries and the emerging Power-to-X, grid-scale storage and batteries industries. In addition to being part of the ET-Team, you will join a dynamic network of students, where both social and professional arrangements – and a lot of fun – takes place.
Your key tasks include:
- Assist on in-depth company and industry analysis of potential investment opportunities within the global energy transition sectors
- Work with the team to build financial models to support investment decisions
- Support the team in the preparation of materials for the KIRKBI Board of Directors on new investment opportunities
- Various ad-hoc assignments related to deal screening selection, portfolio management, and other administrative tasks
Value driven student with an analytic mindset and curios of nature
You have an eagerness to learn and a keen interest in the investment and energy sector. You possess an analytical mindset, with a good sense of detail. You possess an optimistic outlook, and a curiosity in the world around you.
Furthermore, you are:
- At your final year of your bachelor’s degree or the first year of your master’s degree - preferably within finance, strategy or engineering
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken)
- Accustomed to Microsoft Office - especially Excel and PowerPoint
The position is 15-20 hours a week working from our Copenhagen office with flexibility during holiday and exam periods.
