KIRKBI is currently looking for an Investment Analyst for our Strategic Investments & Active Ownership team in Copenhagen.
KIRKBI is the holding- and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family and the formal owner of the LEGO® brand with an investment portfolio of DKK +100 bn. Our organisation is flat with a short span from analysis and decision-making to execution. This position is a great opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills-set while getting firsthand exposure to all key investment disciplines in private companies.
You will become an integral and valued member of the Strategic Investments & Active Ownership Team and work with many different aspects of investments, in collaboration with other members of the team. The Strategic Investments & Active Ownership team is KIRKBI’s direct investment arm where the investment strategy is focused on active ownership of significant minority stakes in high quality companies within our investment strategy focus areas of sustainability, healthcare, and education. Some of our current investments include Kahoot, Armacell, and Vällinge Innovation.
Your key tasks and accountabilities
- Support the investment team in industry-, market- and company research
- Financial and strategic analysis incl. valuation modelling (DCF, LBO and comparable multiples)
- Development of new investment ideas with potential exposure to live transactions
- Take part in producing reporting materials for the KIRKBI Board of Directors and the KIRKBI Investment Committee
Candidate profile
- You are in your final year of your bachelor’s degree or first year of your master's degree within a relevant field of study
- You are fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken)
- You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office - especially Excel and PowerPoint
- You have a great academic record
- Relevant experience from part-time positions is regarded as beneficial
Candidate characteristics
- Genuine interest in corporate finance/M&A and equity investments
- Problem-solving mind-set and great analytical skills
- Solid communications skills
- An adept collaborator with a positive attitude, curious of nature and a desire to learn
The position is ~20 hours a week with flexibility during holiday and exam periods.
