At KIRKBI, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated Student Assistant to support the Sustainability Manager in driving impactful sustainability strategies across our real estate portfolio.
Your key tasks and responsibilities
As a Student Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our sustainability efforts, working closely with colleagues in the Global Real Estate team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the collection and analysis of sustainability data to calculate the CO2 emissions.
- Supporting green building certification processes (e.g., DGNB) for new and existing properties.
- Conducting research on sustainability best practices and emerging trends in the real estate industry.
- Contributing to sustainability reporting and the preparation of presentations.
- Assisting in the coordination of stakeholder engagement efforts related to sustainability.
- Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of sustainability projects.
Your Profile
We are looking for a student who is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree (1st or 2nd year) within the field of business, finance or auditing. You are value driven and have a genuine passion and interest in real estate, climate change and sustainability.
You can work independently, but also have good collaborative skills, as well as solid analytical skills. Moreover, we expect that you take pride in delivering high-quality work. English is our corporate language, and it would be a plus, but not a requirement, if you are capable in both verbal and written Danish.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong interest in sustainability.
- Analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and/or data visualization tools.
- Detail-oriented and organised work habits.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English is required; Danish is a plus).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
The position is based in our Headquarter in Billund, Denmark.
You are expected to work 10 - 15 hours per week, with flexibility during holiday and exam periods.
