As a Senior IT Operations Engineer at KIRKBI Business Services, you will play a central role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our core infrastructure solutions. You will act as the operational anchor point for several critical areas, including network, hosting, domain name management, AV meeting room solutions, and print services.
You will become part of an IT Operations team of 7 colleagues who deliver IT services to a large number of companies in the KIRKBI Group. You can expect to travel 5-10 days per year, mainly in Denmark.
Vendor coordination, process ownership and smooth operational services
Your focus will be to deliver value to the business through your ability to manage vendors effectively and support operational tasks when required. While deep technical experience is beneficial, the role is primarily administrative with a focus on coordination and high-quality documentation of contracts, solutions etc.
Your tasks include, among other things:
Solution Management
- Responsible for operational solutions within network, domain name management, hosting, AV meeting room, and printing.
- Identify and implement improvements for stability, automation, or user experience.
- Maintain roadmaps and service descriptions for owned areas, including lifecycle planning.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage daily vendor collaboration and ensure SLA compliance.
- Organise status meetings, track service quality, and follow up on issues.
- Identify opportunities for service and contract improvements.
Operations & Monitoring
- Define and improve monitoring practices across AV, Print, and Network
- Coordinate operational activities with vendors and internal teams.
- Ensure proper procedures for backup, alerting, and escalation.
Knowledge Management
- Maintain asset database for AV and Print solutions.
- Ensure clear support procedures for key infrastructure areas.
Experienced and detail-oriented IT professional with solid communication skills
The ideal candidate possesses a structured mindset and effective coordination and problem-solving skills with a focus on stability and user experience. You have the ability to translate technical and operational complexity into structured solutions, while demonstrating your solid documentation skills and attention to detail.
The job requires that you can work independently and proactively with a high level of accountability, and that you can follow tasks through to completion.
You have a service-minded and collaborative attitude enabling you to communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors and team members, especially around expectations and progress. You are curious and willing to grow your technical and coordination skills as well as exploring new areas of work.
You can also identify with several of the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or vendor management.
- Experience with coordinating vendors and taking ownership of operational areas.
- Familiarity with monitoring processes and ITIL practices.
- Fluent communication skills – both written and verbal – in Danish and English
