Communication Manager specialised in digital content creation, KIRKBI
Can you turn strategy into storytelling and bring purpose to life across digital channels? Are you motivated to be part of a company working to build a better future for children?
KIRKBI is undergoing a meaningful transformation, following the generational handover to the 4th generation of the Kirk Kristiansen family – the family who founded the LEGO® brand and LEGO Group in 1932 and continues to own it today through KIRKBI. As part of this transformation, we are evolving how we communicate our purpose, long-term vision, and business areas — and we’re looking for a communication manager with a special interest in content creation and digital platforms to help shape that development.
A digital storyteller elevating KIRKBI’s presence with engaging content
In this role, you will help shape how KIRKBI presents itself externally by enhancing our presence across LinkedIn, our corporate website, and key initiatives. This includes coordinating and creating content for Travbyen - a coming vibrant and attractive neighbourhood in Billund that plays a central role in KIRKBI’s ambition to contribute to the town’s unique character as the Capital of Children.
You will also create engaging content for Ole Kirk’s Fond – one of Denmark’s largest charitable foundations - and support the foundation’s storytelling around its philanthropic partnerships and projects. In addition, you’ll serve as a communications partner for the QATO Foundation.
You will report to KIRKBI’s Head of Communication and join an experienced and supportive communications team of 5 colleagues. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners. This is a chance to work with strategic, purpose-driven communication in a company that is part of a large ecosystem – and the long-term owner behind one of the world’s most reputable brands.
Your tasks will include:
- Maintaining a professional and engaging digital presence by managing KIRKBI’s LinkedIn profile together with the team, develop content for selected business areas, and manage the corporate website to ensure it reflects KIRKBI’s purpose and business areas.
- Building visibility by activating internal ambassadors and monitoring digital performance across our owned channels.
- Creating and managing content for Travbyen’s digital channels, in close collaboration with KIRKBI’s Real Estate team and external partners.
- Supporting content development for Ole Kirk’s Fond and acting as communications partner to the QATO Foundation.
A creative collaborator with an ability to bridge strategy with execution
We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset. You enjoy and know how to translate complex, strategic topics into engaging, well-written content.
You are structured and proactive with a keen sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Digitally fluent, you’re comfortable working with platforms and basic design tools. You bring curiosity, creativity, and a solution-oriented mindset to the table — and you enjoy working with different topics and stakeholders.
Your qualifications
You likely hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or a related field, and bring 2–3 years of experience in corporate and/or digital communication.
You can also identify with several of the following:
- Proficient writing and storytelling abilities in both Danish and English, with the ability to adapt tone and style across audiences and platforms
- Skilled in content development and digital communication, with a clear sense of how to turn communication strategies and plans into engaging content
- Practical experience managing LinkedIn content planning
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic graphic/layout and video editing tools
- A profound visual sense and attention to detail across digital formats
Work location
We are looking for a candidate, who can work from our head office in Billund, but a hybrid setup between our offices in Billund and Copenhagen may be possible.
